Marmite and Cheddar Grissini

Before the dreaded onslaught of Christmas which, let’s face it, has already started I thought I would throw in a token savoury blog post. Since they are few and far between I have to admit that this will probably be the last of the year (*I’ve planned the rest of my posts: they are). Either way, however, I decided I had to make my last savoury post something pretty good and using Marmite was an obvious choice in this household.

Blueberry Kir Royale Cupcakes

If you read my blog posts you will probably have noticed that, aside from baking, I also talk a lot about drinking! In spite of the slight gin-induced hangover the next day, it was lovely to see everyone and have a good catchup.

But enough about the drink, onto the food. Continue reading “Westfield Girls Dinner Party: Pulled Chicken Burgers and Amarula Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake”

Honey and Saffron Ladies’ Kisses

In my opinion, Lady’s Kiss isn’t the most appealing name for a biscuit. For me, it places somewhere on the dodgy/ slightly seedy spectrum and this certainly isn’t helped by the description in Coffee Time Treats: ‘Ladies’ kisses cookies have a delicious texture and an exquisite lingering flavour- just like the loveliest kind of kiss should have’. However, each to their own, and I suppose an exquisite lingering flavour is better than one after a few pints and jaeger bombs down the Bigg Market on a Saturday night. So why not give them a shot?  Continue reading “Honey and Saffron Ladies’ Kisses”
