Raspberry, Hazelnut and Meringue Squares

So after deciding that I needed to branch out my ideas a little more in my review for the hazelnut and raspberry baked cheesecake brownie at Olive and Bean last week, I have completely contradicted myself already. I think it’s safe to say that my raspberry, hazelnut and meringue squares might not be the most original, but they are pretty yummy so, again, it’s a very sorry not sorry situation.

Orange, Marzipan and Date Cake

So after my first ever review on my blog last week, I return to my attempts at concocting recipes in true form. Essentially, this means I run out of time and can’t do anything even nearly as ambitious as I would have liked it to be. This week I definitely faced the same issue, but this time I didn’t even have time to get any ingredients. So, after scouring the larder I have orange, marzipan and date cake and, I have to say, it’s pretty delicious.

Raspberry and Rose Mini Rolls

For those of you who are as obsessed with baking as I am, you will probably know the bake off graced our screens again last week. In spite of it’s move to channel 4 (and that Sandi and Noel may have been trying a little too hard, sorry!) I was still watching avidly. To be extra original, I also thought I would try my hand at my version of the technical bake, mini rolls. And yet again I safely understand why I have not been chosen for the show!

Ginger Crunch Cookies

Although the severe neglect I have shown my blog in the past few weeks seems to be getting worse, I promise you I am about to (fingers crossed) make an attempt at some sort of redemption.  Since I was too busy selling cheese this bank holiday weekend, which gave me the perfect opportunity to bask in the unusually warm British sunshine, I didn’t manage to get a post out.
